We have been missionaries with Overland Missions since September 2016, living on a remote base in the Chipepo Chiefdom. We started out as sector missionaries, doing basic revival meetings in the Sinafala area for two years. As time went on and as our family began to grow, the ministry shifted more towards the local ministry partners and church leaders whom we began teaching in a Bible school discipleship program. With 30 graduates in 2023, the Bible school is now being translated into Tonga, projected to begin in early 2025, so we can reach the further places of the Chiefdom, and reach even more people with the gospel with a firm foundation in the knowledge of the Word and faith.
Since becoming the Team Leaders, Base Developers, and part of the greater Overland Mission’s Pastoral Care department in 2021, we have seen so much growth in both the foreign and indigenous team! Ministry in this season looks different than we expected because we are spending much time in logistical and planning to help develop the team and build the base. However, we are so content in the season and know we are right where we are supposed to be!
