How it all Started...
We affirm our confidence in God’s inerrant Word and we treasure its truths.
In May of 1994 Mike and Jacky Christian, along with their four children, Benta, Nickeya, Jonathan and Josiah moved to Colorado to work with Floyd McClung and Youth with a Mission.
Mike and Jacky were unable to find housing close to the YWAM base in Stonewall, Colorado so they made their home over the mountain in Cuchara Colorado.
After a few months the Lord began speaking to them about starting a year round church in the small mountain community of Cuchara. Mike placed three fleeces before the Lord (believing that they would never come to pass). All three were answered in a matter of a month.
Thus began the planting of "The Vineyard Christian Fellowship", which would later become and is currently "The Cuchara Christian Fellowship".
