After attending Bible college in the early 1980’s Mike and his wife Jacky served with the Crisis Pregnancy Centers of Greater Phoenix as the first husband and wife team to speak to the students in most of the high schools in Phoenix and the surrounding areas, concerning responsible social values, abstinence, and pro life issues. While with the pregnancy centers, Mike was invited to be an associate pastor in his local church where he and Jacky served for four years in full-time ministry. While pastoring Mike and Jacky became involved with “Youth With A Mission” and was invited to join Floyd McClung at a newly formed YWAM base in Stonewall, Colorado. Not being able to find housing in Stonewall, Mike with his wife and four children ended up in Cuchara Colorado. During that time Mike felt God calling him to start a full-time year round church. Thus in 1994 began the Vineyard Christian Fellowship of Cuchara Valley currently known as The Cuchara Christian Fellowship.

Eddie and his wife Sue began praying that God prepare the way for their family to return to La Veta. In 1996 Eddie received an Apprentice Lineman Position with San Isabel Electric Association. Eddie, his wife Sue and their 2 children then moved to La Veta. The family began attending The Vineyard Christian Fellowship of Cuchara Valley in 1996 where Sue began teaching in the Children's Church. Shortly there after Eddie became an Usher and greeter in the church, as time progressed he became an elder and greeter. Now as Associate Pastor, Eddie will greet people as they arrive, he occasionally speaks, and oversees the media, online app and website.

Steve and Ruth Ann have a combined 85 years in the ministry of Jesus Christ and music ministry. They joined Cuchara Christian Fellowship early 2021 as the worship team.
